Owner - MARK DE JONG, PT, DPT, SFMA

Mark graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2006 with his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.   He has always been interested in orthopedics and sports physical therapy.  During his schooling, he had the privilege of working with Athlete’s Performance and training the highest level of athletes in the world.  He loves working with whatever level athlete, from the weekend warrior to the college athlete, to improve their movement patterns and build the necessary foundational strength that is needed for their situation.  He has been certified in the SFMA by functionalmovement.com to help people move and play more efficiently.

He also has a strong manual therapy background, completing a year-long manual therapy class in Grass Valley shortly after graduating from Pacific.  This helps him significantly in treating the post-surgical patient to the person with pain from sitting at a computer all day every day.   He states his joy comes from getting people back to their normal activities, whatever that may be.

Mark also practices what he preaches as he loves staying fit, whether it be running, cycling, hiking, or rock climbing.  He makes sure he is able to do anything that he asks his patients do, as he feels it is important for everyone to stay strong and move well, because we all have a life to live.

Jessica graduated from the University of the Pacific with her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy in 2005.  She is passionate about her work and is continually seeking to improve her skills and give high quality care to her patients.  Jessica has specific training in functional movement, manual therapy, and vestibular disorders.

After graduating from Pacific, she furthered her education by completing the Folsom Long-term Orthopedic Manual Therapy course.  She has also taken numerous other continuing education courses including becoming FMS and SFMA certified (functional movement.com), which allows her to better assess dysfunctional movement patterns.   She is also certified in IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) with Smart Tools.  Her training helps her to treat a wide variety of patients, from the athlete looking to return to their sport to the post-surgical patient wanting to return to their daily activities.   She believes in helping people move better and in treating the cause of their problems so they can reach their fullest potential.
